?Calendar entry times move when I change the time zone. Can I stop this?
!

Calendar entries that do not change when the time zone changes are actually quite the opposite of what it seems - these entries do move in time (9AM in New York is another point in time than 9AM in Berlin) when time zone changes. Only the local time display remains the same. This is why such entries are called "floating" time entries.

By themselves, floating time entries are fine, however once sync comes into the picture, it gets complicated. Entries moving in time depending on where a particular mobile user currently is on the planet are hard to map to a centralized group calendar in a sensible way. And for many types of appointments (like scheduling international conference calls, deadlines etc.) floating entries are useless, because these have to take place at the same point in time, regardless of the time shown by the local clock.

That's why Todo+Cal+Sync at this time only supports fixed-in-time type calendar entries, and no floating time. For a future version, we plan to support specifying the time zone of origin (or - for floating entries - no zone at all) for each calendar entry. Still, this will not solve the problem unless the server system also fully supports floating entries.
